Meera has been formally trained in Classical Ballet, Jazz, and Hip-Hop, yet her primary
style of dancing through her ancestry has its origins in the East. Along with Meera's
passion for Belly dancing, she performs various Indian dance styles such as Classical Bharatanatyam, Orissi, and several different Indian folk dances.

The Indian dance system is the oldest and most comprehensive in the world, having an unbroken tradition going back thousands of years. Born in the Hindu temples of Tamil Nadu, it is devotional in spirit yet possesses a highly stylized and sophisticated technique.
The graceful movements and language of gesture convey poetic meanings with the help of dramatic expression, rhythmic gaits and postures. The contents of the
songs used in the dance have their origins in the Hindu mythology and religious philosophies found in Vedas, the collection of ancient Indian literature. Classical Indian dances are images of the cosmic dance and the yearning of the human soul for the union with the absolute.
